Christian Del Rosso

Since 2001 I have worked at the Nokia Research Center (Finland). In my years at the research center, I have focused on software architecture evaluations and design. In this context, I have used various software architecture assessment to improve the evolution of large software systems. Internet services and social networks are some of the topic I am interested and I have contributed to the creation of personalized and context aware mobile services.

After my years at the research center in which I have developed my technical competencies and the ability to think out of the box to solve problems I have decided to make the next step with a MBA.  In the MBA I have acquired the tools needed for a more comprehensive view on innovation, strategy management and in general how technology and business work together.

I am passionate about business strategy and digital convergence. Convergence is the idea that as the worlds of entertainment, computing, and communication go digital, they can be combined to create exciting new products, services, and business opportunities. Some of the interesting questions are: as industries converge and industry boundaries blur, competitors invade each other's markets, how can firms maintain their competitive position and transform themselves? What range of vertically linked activities should each industry encompass?

As David B. Yoffie Professor of International Business Administration at Harvard Business School puts it “The challenge is that when multiple technologies are integrated into products and services, companies are forced to manage, develop, and/or integrate technologies beyond their traditional spheres of competence"
